I am a highly skilled, motivated designer with the ability to generate concepts and translate those concepts into final solutions. What sets me apart from other designers is my willingness to learn and desire to collaborate, varied project experience, and belief that sustainable design is an integral part of all good design. I taught myself Revit then implemented those skills in the design and documentation of a 144 unit condominium project in Madison, WI. I've worked in 3 firms with very different client lists, employing anywhere from 5-150 people, on teams ranging from 2-25. This unique background has enabled me to work on many different project types and scales in various project team sizes. A decade ago when I was still in college, "sustainability" was a buzz word but also part of our curriculum. Since then I have continued to learn as much as possible about green design practices: by editing an in-house green newsletter at Flad called "Leaflet", focusing on green materials as the resource librarian at Engberg Anderson Design Partnership, Inc. and attaining LEED BD+C status. I am an Associate of AIA Minnesota, I've completed all IDP training hours and have started the ARE exam process.
I have an interest in Graphic Design and have recently taken a Continuing Education course on the subject, examples of the project work can be seen under the graphics tab.
